Who we are
Site Finder ("we", "us") provides tools that help web agencies and freelancers discover local businesses and generate marketing websites. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the application and how we handle it.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide when signing in, such as your email address and authentication identifiers.
- Content you create, including search activity, saved leads, generated websites, and edits you make to them.
- Billing information processed by our payment provider when you purchase credits or a subscription. We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and device data, such as pages viewed, features used, browser type, and IP address, collected to keep the service secure and improve it.
How we use information
- To operate and provide the features of Site Finder.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To send transactional messages related to your account (e.g. receipts, password resets, important service updates).
- To investigate abuse and enforce our terms.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit. Essential cookies required to operate the site (such as authentication) are always set.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers we use to run Site Finder — for example our hosting, database, authentication, email, and payments providers — and only to the extent needed for them to perform their service. We may also share information when required by law.
Your data rights
From Settings → Privacy & your data you can:
- Download your data — export a JSON copy of the records tied to your account.
- Deactivate your account — sign out and block access without deleting anything. Reactivate any time by signing back in.
- Delete your account permanently — this is irreversible.
What deletion removes vs. retains
When you permanently delete your account, we remove your personal profile and product data: profile, generated sites, saved leads and searches, chat history, credits, active subscriptions, referral records, domain purchases, ad connections, and stored banking-connection credentials.
For legal, accounting, and tax-reporting reasons we retain:
- Invoice and payout records — kept in anonymized form (personal identifiers such as name, email, and contact details are replaced with "REDACTED"; transaction amounts, currency, dates, and status are preserved).
- Tax records (e.g. W-9 / tax classification information) — retained in full for the legal retention window required by applicable tax law, then deleted.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, including access, correction, deletion (subject to the retention exceptions above), and the right to object to certain processing.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information against unauthorized access, including transport encryption (HTTPS), access controls, and use of reputable infrastructure providers. No service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Site Finder is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the application.
